Meet the Artists

DENNIS KAVEN

Dennis’ work is based on forty five years of teaching art, forty two as Professor of Art at Grand View Univ. in Des Moines.  His primary teaching responsibilities included painting, design, drawing and graphic design. The current body of work featured on this site is inspired by mechanical and industrial machinery.

His work ranges from realist to abstract as well as non-objective.  Having the freedom to cover many styles has given him the ability to teach to a broad base of students from the perspective of personal experience.

JOHN SEPANIC

Hand John a camera and learn what it means to come alive and experience the world through his eyes. He’s  like a mad-scientist capturing the world simply by pressing the shutter release.

LUKE HUBBARD

Indeed, much of Luke’s work is very emotional. His paintings have progressed to allow Luke reduce the use of brushes and work with painters knives. The knives give his paintings additional depth and texture.

While painting Luke seeks balance in color, shape and lines. The response from patrons adds immeasurably to his joy.

BEN SCHUH

Ben is a professional artist living & working in the Des Moines metro. His original paintings are in corporate and private collections across the United States as well as Canada & Europe.
