Kelly & Denny Sharp
Vino209 Wine Bar & Bistro is locally owned and operated
Kelly has owned and operated Heart of Iowa Market Place in Historic Valley Junction for since 2011. Her love for the district and desire to see it continue to grow and draw visitors led her and her husband to develop this exciting new Wine Bar & Bistro concept, which she felt was a missing element in the restaurant offerings in the area.
Denny Sharp is the President of FEH Design, a local Architecture, Structural Engineering and Interior Design firm with offices in Des Moines, Dubuque, Sioux City and Wisconsin. As an Architect, he felt it was important to be respectful of the 100 year old building in terms of design and bring back as many of the historic elements as possible when designing the new Bar/Bistro. He also loves this district and the wide variety of activities and events that are held each year in the district and is excited to have the Wine Bar & Bistro be able to complement these events.
Architects Cory & Denny Sharp, along with Interior Designer Michelle Crambilt took special care to showcase the historic aspects of the building, using the natural brick as a major design element. The stunning modern bar brings forth the space the sleek sophisticated element that Owner, Kelly Sharp was seeking. The moveable front doors will allow for the patrons to feel part of the fabric of the district and what is happening on the street.
